is this a " BAD " cricket ?

I am going to grow more " dirt" - lol (baby crickets) but I saw this cricket in the new batch of breeders- is it one of those mean black kind ? ( the one on the left) should I kill it ? or is it ok , I have never seen a pic of the " mean black kind " but have seen people on the forums say the black ones will bite your chams - I dont want to hatch any of those ~

They're literally all black! When i had anoles YEARS ago, they used to be scared of them. This was before I had any idea that I should NOT feed crickets I find outside to my pets. I was about 8 years old... They would also chirp nonstop too, ugh!

That is just a weird looking brown cricket Maybe some 'black DNA' in there, but nothing to worry about....the black crickets are good imo anyway...bigger and fatter and eat more gutload....they aren't as aggressive as sometimes made out - when well fed they barely ever eat each other . And my lizards don't get any sort of cricket left in overnight if I can help it.

The brown one looks like the typical "brown cricket" we get here The other one beside it looks like what we'd call a "house cricket" I have no idea what is considered unusual or strange in the Americas, but I don't think it has any black in it!

Either way, don't kill the poor cricket, let it fill its "goal" and be fed to your hungry cham!

barely eat each other - I did notice these guys will eat each others legs off from time to time- even tho they are very well fed- my husband last night was telling me to stop feeding the crix all the best stuff in the house - lol

Why would it be a bad cricket? Just tell you husband someone has to eat the good stuff. No better yet, don't tell him what the crickets eat. And on the crickets, you will know a black one when you see it, they are really all black and just look mean.
