Is she sleeping properly?

Got the enclosure in my bedroom where I often sit up late at night programming so the light from the screen is lighting up the room a bit.

But Stells is sleeping next to the cage door so can clearly see that she is sleeping. Her eyes are closed. But is this disturbing her sleep?

She is active during day still, climbing around like crazy.

What do you think? Should I still cover it?

Some chams are light sleepers so it really just depends on your Cham.
I can literally pick my veiled up and he will just cuddle on my hand and never even open an eye, however I can be 3 feet away from my panthers enclosure and he will wake up. I would just suggest putting a sheet over the side facing you and make sure the rest of the lights in the room are off.

Okey, thank you!

They can sense light even with their eyes closed. This is the reason we suggest no lights on at night. Chameleons have a photoreceptive scale (parietal eye) on their head that senses light so any lighting can disrupt sleep patterns. As long as it isn't all night it shouldn't be a major problem, but if you are worried you could always cover the enclosure.
