Is she gravid? Also, eye issue?

Okay so summoner thinks Molly looks gravid but i've left her in her lay bin for a few hours at a time and she barely moves. What does everyone else think? She does look a little pudgy but she may just be that lol.

Also, this bubble on her eye seems to be growing, has anyone else had this problem? What should I do about it? I saw someone told someone who had something like this to "rub it out" but it's painful when I touch it. PS- I don't think this eye is going to make it if you haven't noticed. It looks pretty much beyond hope.

She doesn't look that plump, but it is posssible there are some unfertile eggs in her. If you gently palpate her , you could feel for the eggs. Eggs in a cham will feel like a string of pearls.
The eye doesn't look good and needs to be treated. I never have seen an eye infection look like that. It almost looks like a growth.

def not gravid, she will be WAY bigger when she is. The eye is not too far gone, take her to the vet and get a diagnosis. You can order some antibiotic eye wash from LLL and clean her eye out, itll get better with the treatment and lots of extra warm misting in about a week.

well we found that the cause of her eye issues was her UVB light so I have a new one coming, the removal of the old one has made a significant improvement and i'm wondering if this is just from that. I had a R-zilla desert 50 uvb hood which I found out was recalled for causing blindness and other infection like symptoms.

If she is gravid....moving her back and forth from the laying bin to the cage is very stressful.

IMHO, the idea is to leave a smaller container in her cage at all times. It should be opaque and big enough that when empty she can fit into it with a couple of inches to spare on all sides including above and below her. This gives her a place to dig to show you that she's ready to lay eggs. Once she is intent on digging, you can move her to the laying bin and leave her there....and once she is digging, do not let her see you watching her.

Hope the eye problem is only from the bulb and will clear up!

I would but no laying bin would fit in her cage. She doesn't get too stressed when I handle her, she's used to it from months of hand feeding and medications. I would put a lay bin in her cage but there is literally no room at all.

If there's no room in her cage for even the size I described (approx 6w x 8d x 10l) then she needs a bigger cage.

or at least a very large flower pot that her plant grows in.... she'll dig in it if you buy like a 14" round pot and only plant a 8-10" plant in it. The root ball might be 8" or so but she'll still have room to dig around the sides.

I said she was gravid off of a different photo. Based on these photos I would not say she is gravid.

and about the eye... if that is from a 'R-Killa'... WOW!

Did the swelling go down after you turned off the light?

The swelling went down in the other eye and she is opening both of them now, but the bubble has not increased or decreased in size since I turned it off. But it was increasing with the light so if it doesn't increase or decreases in size then I will be happy lol. It first started when I pushed on the lump on her head that I thought was an abscess, and then it just grew, so i'm guessing it's stuff from the abscess although I did not get anything out of it when I lanced it (the abscess). I do have a pot in there, I have 3 pots in there actually, which is why a lay bin wouldn't fit.

Go to the search button at the top and search for eye issues and eye problems and eye bubble. I know I've seen pictures of other chams on here with the eye bubble like that.

To me it doesn't look like she has eggs in those pics but keep a small laying bin in the cage for her and when you see her digging around in it you can move her to a larger bin.
