Is Pascal okay? Suddenly much darker and exploring cage more

Hey everyone. So Pascal just finished a shed last week, it only took him a day to do so. I woke up today and he seems fine. Just a lot more active. He’s also really dark, but still green. Is he okay? He’s eating fine. And the temperature in his cage is 72 at the low end and the basking is sitting at 89. He’s walking around a lot and has sat in his fogger that I made, and been climbing up the sides of his cage.
What do you think it could be?

He’s a few months based on the reptile store owner. I’d say 2-3 based on his size.

Based on your pic alone I’m Pretty sure he is more than 3mo. Your Cham is looking for a woman.

Ahh okay. He’s in breeding mode?
He drank some water and he’s back to lime green. So I’m not sure now. I just am worried because I lost a chameleon about a month and a half ago and she was sick when I got her. And she was dark like he just was. Little paranoid because he seems to be doing really well.

Don’t sweat short term color changes. In my experience once a male has matured he pretty much stays in “breeding mode.” His hormones drive him to explore and escape his viv. All his other behaviors you mentioned sound normal, if they don’t change he is fine.

My room is pretty dry, so I got a pond fogger off of Amazon. It changes colors. I put it in an old yogurt tub so his crickets don’t fall in and drown. Haha
It keeps the humidity up in the cage.

That's normal behavior.

Ooh thats prob why he went down there then. He liked the extra moisture.. i use a humidyer sometimes at night and when i wake up and look at him hes by where the moist air is blowing into the enclosure. How often do you mist him?

Mine is walking around his cage a lot today as well but I think its because I added a new water thing for him to drink. Today was the first time since I got him he ate as much as he did this morning and he has been all the way up to the front door now which he never did. Granted I have only had him a week but he looks similar size to the OPs and the store owner told me he was the same age range. when do they start getting sexually mature?

I also noticed yours has the same colors mine has sometime. Mine will get dark like that but also has the brownish dry color on the head. I thought something was wrong.

They change colors a lot. Depending on mood but mine usually darkens his color when hes soaking up some light

Loose the water fountain like yesterday, it’s a biological time bomb.

That's completely normal behavior, and a sign of a healthy, active cham.
