is my veiled chameleon gravid?

I got my veiled from a woman that recently died, im not entirely sure how old she is but im sure she is full grown. shes been doing fine, but recent she has been appearing bloated. she has been eating regularly though she seems somewhat restless. we have placed her in a laying bin but she seems very disinterested in digging at all. we might just be overreacting as new chameleon owners. please help. thank you..

I have worlds of experience with female veiled's, and to the best of my knowledge, judging by her colors, she is not currently gravid. The beauty of female chameleons is that the colors will actually tell the story. Female veileds tend to get very dark with yellow spotting banding..etc when gravid. It is however, best to keep that laying bin in at all times. :D great looking girl

thanks for the help heres another picture of the top of her after i put her back in her cage and she ate. i had to take her out and put her in a seperate bin because the cage that she came in is not very big. we are getting her a bigger one, this one just has to work for now.

She certainly looks a little thick..its so hard without physically seeing her. I am begging of you...PLEASE REMOVE THAT DREADFUL BARK SUBSTRATE!!! silly chams sometimes eat that stuff and it causes all sorts of problems. I know you said the previous owner has passed. Question being, Has this female ever been offered a laying bin? prior to your ownership? It just worries me being as females can cause themselves to go eggbound. A issue only invasive surgery can correct..with very small success rates :(

i will remove the bark tomorrow when i can buy something else. what do you recommend using and we have no idea we didnt really no the lady that well it was a freinds aunt that had a ton of different animals and her husband who we got it from didnt really seem to like all the animals or know much about how she took care of it.
