Is my Senegal Chameleon sick??

I know they dont need any lights on btw. i was making sure hhe didnt have any.
and over all you seem do be doing fine. :)
And sphagnam moss is safe to eat, that why i was saying it.

It looks like a female to me.
What kind of bark is/was that in the cage? Cedar?
What's the temperature in the cage (hottest)?

He should not be in the Glass cage, but it is FINE for now. Honestly reptile city is shit!!You may have a bad cham
Really? why do you say that? Day 4- he's still sleeping in the day. i just sprayed his tank a while ago and he drinks water.. but thats about it.

if you have a house plant like a little tree. try puting her on there and taking her outside for a while. maybe some natural sun will help.

I'm not sure this is true. I've read that sphagnum has many small spines that can injure the esophagus or intestinal tract on the way through. I would not take that chance. There are safer ways to keep humidity higher.

Day 5- Still no signs of eating. I gave my chameleon a tiny drop of mineral oil to make her go. maybe she's not constipated? because she barely pooped. and her poop looked yellow. still, when i mist every morning she drinks a lot. then i mist during the day a couple of times but she doesn't drink as much but she still drinks some. hmm not sure whats wrong with her. the problem is that she sleeps during the day and wont eat!!

u guys i also have another question. does it really matter what kind of bulb you use for the uvb and heating light? because i use a coil shaped uvb light bulb.

Coil shaped uvb are know to cause eye problem on chameleons. I would get a linear reptisun 5.0. as for heating a normal household light bulb with a reflector will do. I use a 50w bulb, it depends on the ambient temps in your area you might need to increase or decrease wattage.

Ok thank you!

Im sorry to hear that. Now you at least have so more of the basic knowledge needed to care for a chameleon. Screen Cage, Some plants, Vines (Arboreal species) no subsatrate, Basking bulb, UVB linear 5.0, and daily misting a couple times a day..etc etc. Dont be afraid to try again, i would recommend trying a different supplier though in the future. Once again sorry to hear about your senegal, its always a sad day.
