I got my veiled chameleon Pascal about a 1 1/2 months ago and currently he is about 3 1/2 months old. He doesn’t seem to have grown much since I got him and he weighs about .81 oz. Is this normal?
the first photo is the day I received him and the second photo is very recent.

Hi and welcome to the forum. I can’t answer your question, but your concern warrants asking if you’d fill out the help form to ensure all of your husbandry is correct.

Chameleon Info:

  • Watering - What kind of watering technique do you use? How often and how long to you mist? Do you see your chameleon drinking?

First thing is I DO NOT recommend handling him right off the bat. Getting used to a new environment and enclosure is enough stress so the added stress is not good. I wouldn’t worry about the weight as long as he is eating. My veiled will randomly grow overnight it seems and he eats about the same amount everyday.
