I'm cleaning the branches I got for my new cham and one of them had a bit of lichen on it. Just a few small pieces of the frilly stuff here:

I pulled it off but I wanted to make sure the branch is safe. So far I've sanded them all a bit by hand to take the top surface off, and scrubbed them off with soap/water.
I was planning on baking them too but they might not fit in the oven. What about washing with bleach? Should I do that too?
