Only if you're sure that you or your neighbors haven't sprayed with pesticides or any other chemicals. It looks like a safe species of grasshopper, but you want to make sure he didn't eat or come into contact with any poisons.

A quick tip: If the bug has red or orange spots it's probably not safe. Or if it has vibrant colors.
