I'm wondering if there's a difference between gaping from overheating and just general open mouthed dissatisfaction? I just switched my 6 month panther from his 30" baby cage to his new 48" adult enclosure and since the switch he's been in an utterly pissy mood. Mouth open, and colors are dark. But he's eating and drinking normally. The first night, he wouldn't curl to sleep, and just clung to the side of the screen all night. The second night, he sat on a branch, but wouldn't curl up his tail. Today, MUCH less open mouth, and he seems to have found a new place to sleep and he's curled up normally. At no point was he bubbling or popping when he breathed, temps are maxed out at 87 in the indoor enclosure, and he's misted every 2 hours for 30 seconds. Pooping normally, so the question is, was this just a "tantrum" over totally changing his environment? Or should I remain panicked that its sone weird URI?
