is it normal for my veiled chameleon to eat more of his ficus tree than crickets? i usually put about a dozen or two in his feeding dish and it looks like he is only eating about 6 or so but he has been munching on his ficus leafs like crazy! the top of the tree is almost leafless

How old is the chameleon? 6 crickets a day is plenty for an adult.
Are you gutloading the crickets (and if so with what)?
Do you offer anything other than crickets and the fiscus, like other insects or dandelion greens, thin carrot shavings, etc. For the sake of the plant, you might want to try spearing leafy vegetables onto the bare branches :)

lol yeah i was planing on trying to put veggies hanging. he is probably around 5-6 months
.
i gut load the crickets with kale, carrots, mustard greens, and whatever other extra veggies i have left over after feeding my bearded dragon.
and i have tried superworms and meal worms but he doesnt seem to eat them.

also there is a schellera tree in there also but i havent seen him eat it yet.
