That happened to me this morning, I recently took in a large, aggressive male veiled that someone was rehoming and I couldn't find him. I could hear him puffing and hissing and me and then after looking for a bit, there he was on the front door of his enclosure right in front of my face.I like that sound to.
Some times it has taken me five minutes to find my cham in his cage, and one time it took that long he was 5 inches from my face.
I know how fast they can be and I'm always careful. I don't free range because I have cats and dogs too so if they're out, they're on me. The only time I can't find them is when they are nestled deep inside of their enclosure. I have them all in very large 4x4x6 homes that are set up like little jungles so sometimes it's hard to find them in there.Chameleons can be very fast when they wants to be,Yall need to keep a good eyes watch ,especially when they not in their cages, thats when the missing and accidents do happen that way!!
Tell me about it,one of my male cham try to find his date since I separated them 23 hours a day,and that one hour visiting time,he almost climb to the parrot stand n bobbing their head together .I know how fast they can be and I'm always careful.
