Do jacksons seem less shy about drinking in front of me than my veiled. My veiled very rarely drinks in front of me whereas my new jacksons just go right over and start lapping up a drink and not caring that I'm watching.

My other jackson was lime that too. Would drink straight from my dripper. My veiled, who knows how he drinks. Either the dripper or mister. Hes fine hydration wise just never seem to catch him.

That's because jacksons are montane species, and require a lot more water than veileds do.

So its not uncommon to see them drinking.

There is truth in your statement. they may require more water as camimom stated, however their more laid back and trusting nature will allow them to access that water as soon as available in my opinion. the veil wants to hang out and make sure the coast is clear first, so to speak. kinda like a jilted lover. unsure at first, but willing to try after a little while.
