is it bad to sit and look at your chameleon through out the day?

I was worried at first that there would be too much action around our chams set up as it is built into the wall in the living room. My chair is right next to it, so when I finally sit down to watch a little t.v., I get to look up and check him out as well. I find that he is most always watching me when I'm sitting there. I think seeing us move about the house has made him become use to us quicker. He's not as afraid when I come to his cage as he was a couple of weeks ago. He doesn't try to "make like a leaf" anymore. Sunday will be one full month that we've had Spike.

You need to come over and talk to my chams. If they don't blend in with the surroundings why does it take me so long to find some of them? Lenny has a very large room, but I have trouble finding some of them in their cages.

I can do that.. lol.
Ill bring you some of the veiled babies too, you can babysit.

I love looking in on mine. My first Panther was so friendly from the moment I brought him home, it was great. Honestly whenever I was home he never was in his cage :)

Now I have a WC Graceful who was a complete basket-case whenever I would walk by, now 3 months later he doesn't run and hide anymore, and he just started eating in front of me :) He's totally cool when I stick my face close to his enclosure to see what's up!

I also recently got a CB Ambilobe, I've had him for 9 days now. I have him in a quiet room until he acclimates 100%. In the beginning he would flatten out and hide when I would even walk by. Now he just stays in his favorite spot, but jumps a little and keeps his eyes on me. He also just started eating 3 days ago on his own. He was so stressed. I only go near his enclose to mist and feed. At this point, I don't watch him. When I tried to, he looked so tense and uncomfortable. I'm sure he will come around.

I especially love watching when I take them, cage and all, outside in the sun.

I pull a chair and sit diagonal to Kosby's cage and read a book. I'm not staring right at him, but look up from time to time. That got him used to me being there. Now he handfeeds from me and wanders out of his cage freely (I open it up to let him come out and explore on his own). My veiled is 14 months old and scared to death of me - he just peers at me through the branches. My hope is that by sitting in front of his neighbor's cage, he'll slowly become more accustomed to my presence. They can't see each other, but Kimani can see me in the chair.
