Is it a problem if a male does not "fire up"

I just got a male red bar Amblobe panther. I have shown him another male, females, and himself in the mirror. But nothing. He head bobs and chases the females around the cage but he does not fire up. Oh he is an adult, I was told he is 2 but idk.

Some males are just not as aggressive as others. I would give him time to settle in and I'm sure at some point he would become aggravated enough to fire up around another male.
