Hey guys and gals,
So ive had my panther chameleon for just under one month now. From what ive seen and read around here id estimate it to be around 3-4 months old?
I purchased him/her from the reptile super show in Pomona from Amazing Blue Reptiles. It was sold to me as a male.
I also checked on the thread about sexing baby panthers, and learned about the bump after the vent. My issue is; IT COMES AND GOES! lol. sometimes I think I see it, clearly...and then other times it looks straight and slim. Im confused!
The reason I ask is because this morning it showed some dark coloration. I didn't know if this meant its a gravid female or something?

I have included several pictures. Your' advise is greatly appreciated! thanks!

Definitely a little male :)

Really?! How sure are you? lol
I know you guys are much much more experienced, id just like to know the reasoning. I personally just don't want to deal with eggs, and id hate to have a random surprise go bad :/

If you bought it from amazing blue, it is the sex they told you it is. Very few people here can sex as well as some of the good breeders, like amazing blue and Kammerflage Kreations. These people know what they are doing and are very trustworthy.

Hopefully this quells your fears a little bit, if I may edit your photo:

Blue line is your boy's bulge, pink line is what the tail profile would look like if he were female (forgive my touchpad squiggly drawing!)

You have a definite little male there. Congrats on the new little guy. He looks very well taken care of.

Thanks!! it honestly means a lot. Health is my priority, male or female. im OCD about his care. Im doing my best! :)

I know of their reputation...its just the woman at the booth that actually sold it too me seemed somewhat unsure (she said theyre too young to be sure; which I know isn't the case with chams). The quality was excellent however, and I am very pleased :)

Olimpia, thanks for your illustration. It really does put my mind at ease. lol Especially when someone at these expertise can confirm this :)
P.S. I love your artwork. Your amazing with that touchpad!

If you have any questions of his age, I would contact the breeder. They would know more than anyone on this forum.

However, due to the size, and little coloration, I would personally guess, 3-4 months of age.
