Is hemp string safe?

I was just a little curious because I do have hemp string braids in my chams cage

probably. if it's the hemp string that is similar to that sold in smoke shops, then it's probably alright.

on the other hand, i would think it would retain water and possibly be a bacteria problem. especially if it's something that your cham would rub their eyes on while shedding

I think ur good Hemp string shouldnt be a problem plus hemp is very very strong.. I think im gonna get hemp string

Check to see that their nails are not getting caught in the fibers.

Well Ive had that string since I started of with him and his nails seem to be just fine. He loooves the string.

Hemp smells bad when wet, other than that should be fine.. I used to tie sticks together in cages with hemp , until they slowly frayed and broke. Wasn't the best but it worked.

I used braided hemp string/rope in my cages for years, no problems
