Is he sick?

I've posted recently that my new flap necked has stopped eating.

He was wc, approx 8 mon. old, and might actually be female.

I've had him about 3 weeks and he was eating like crazy when he first arrived.
I haven't seen him eat anything for the last several days. Maybe a week!
This started after he made an enormous poop.

2 weeks ago, I started giving him horned worms, reptile worms etc....
Enclosing pic because I've never seen him this dark before. Don't know if it's sickness, gravid, about to shed....

Made vet appt for today, but worried that will stress him too much!
Any help is really appreciated!

Possibly over feeding if it got back up. Also don't feed to many super worms those can cause a blockage

How'd the vet go? Could be just from getting used to his new home, the stress can take a toll on their bodies and cause digestive issues that will get better with time and patience. My guy took about a month to get comfortable with me and my apartment. Maybe try offering chopped kale or some other type of veg? When you feed him is it from a bowl? Hope these help!

So after the vet told me to force feed him Critical Care(Oxbow) mixed with mushed bugs or cat food, Mugsy is still not eating.

Yesterday I think he may have aspirated a bit & I thought I was losing him. Scary!
When he went to sleep last night, he had his "basking stripes." Weird!
I'm very afraid he's not going to make it.......:-(

I've given up on the formula the vet gave me. He almost choked to death yesterday.

Today, we forced 1 silk worm and 2 repti worms into his mouth. He swallowed them right down, so I'm just praying.......!

At the moment, we're getting pelted by a big snow storm. Can't make it to the pet store for more bugs till Friday. Yikes!

Anyone know if he'll be ok on mealworms?
