Chameleon Info:
Your Chameleon - Male veiled, about 4-5 months old, he's been in my care for a week.
Handling - Not since I put him in his enclosure.
Feeding - About 8-10 crickets a day, coated in calcium and gut loaded with collard greens, carrots, mangoes.
Supplements - Reptomin, calcium every day, multi vitamin and d3 twice a month.
Watering - Mist 3 times a day heavily, I have not seen him drink in about days.
Fecal Description - it was solid and dark brown with white, but I haven't seen in a few days.

Cage Info:
Cage Type - Glass/ screen combo because it is super hard to keep humidity. 1.5 feet by 1.5 feet by 2.5 feet
Lighting - 100 watt bulb over basking spot
Temperature - Basking spot 83 degrees, lowest is about 75 degrees. Gets to 70 at night. I use multiple thermometers made for reptile enclosures.
Humidity - 60-80% I use a fogger.
Plants - Fake plants.
Placement - The cage is on a 3 foot table not near any doors or windows.

Current Problem - He is pretty brown, and he has not been pooping every day (at least that I can find.) so I can't really check to make sure he's hydrated. He's very active and eats very well. In the pet store he was bright green and now he's always dark so it is a little concerning. Also for a while after he eats he puffs his throat.

Just as a tip - your humidity does not need to be that high ALL THE TIME :) When he gets older use a screen cage 24x24x48 (I'm sure you know this) because when you mist them, it gets high humidity. But they need a dry time too.

So you don't need high humidity all the time ;) Just some of the time.

Also he looks fine to me!

If you have any dirt in the cage (can't tell from pics really) take it out. I don't know if you do, but just as a tip, it can cause them to become impacted.

He looks healthy to me. Just give him time and he will be less nervous.

Also if he is brown like that maybe he is unhappy about his enclosure. Maybe it is too small or not enough room. Try and remove the big branch and put a small ficus in there so he can actually climb . The big branch they can't hold onto very well and it takes a lot of space. Try more twisty vines or an umbrella plant or pothos.

otherwise you look like you're all set.

My I suggest some live plants? It will help maintain some humidity. Your cham will love the live plants. BTW Handsome Veiled
