My little guy is a baby veiled. I have never seen him drink water directly from a leaf of at all. I have had him for about 2 weeks. Should I be worried? I mist his cage about 3 times a day with a spray water bottle he seems to be healthy still...

Don't really on his appearance to heavily to determine if he is healthy, they are the kings at hiding illness and discomfort. How long are you misting him for his sessions? You should buy or make a dripper for him to have in between mistings because sometimes it can take up to 5 minutes or more to get a drinking response from them. I run my mist king for 4 sessions a day and they are 5 minute long cycles and I have three nozzles to one enclosure and run a dripper all day for him... Just to give you an idea of the importance of water availability for them. You could also give him showers every few days. You just have to get some fake foliage and sticks for him to perch on whilst showering. When, and if, you shower him make sure the water is warm and let it bounce off a wall to make a mist shower over him. If that makes sense. Pm me if you need any help man, this place is going to be your best friend now that you've entered the wonderful addiction that is captive chameleon keeping :D

Chameleons quite often eat and drink without being seen doing it. What is the urates in his poo like? They should be white. If yellow or orange he may be dehydrated. Are there plenty of leaves in his viv so the water you spray is dripping off them?:)

He urine is white so I guess I'm doing well thus far. I have enough leaves for the water to run off of. I actually sprayed his cage for about 3 minutes today and watched him. I finally saw him drink directly from the leaves. What a cute sight! I am looking into and automatic mister and i think it would be a wise investment for my little guy!
