Is fucidin 2% safe to use on chameleons?

My panther chameleon has a little cut on his tail and I don't have any polysporin on hand. On that note, I know the original polysporin is safe for snakes, is it also safe for chameleons?

I've used for minor cuts both Polysporin and Neosporin.

Put a little hydrogen peroxide on it first, dry it off. Then a small dab of the Neosporin. Then keep an eye on it. Usually after a few days you an tell if it's healing ok or if you need to go get some antibiotics.

Alright, thank you! It's a relatively small wound near the end of his tail, and it's already scabbed over so I'm not sure I'll even need it now. He has been losing his appetite in the past three or four days though. He won't eat crickets or kingworms, and he usually loves both. He isn't very active at the moment. He did just shed, could that be why?

Temps are in the 70-80 range, they get calcium, reptivite, d3, and one other one I can't remember at the moment (I'm not at home), and I gut load every 1-2 days. A few breeders have told me this is sufficient, so I don't think it's vitamins.

8 months old, Panther Cham, 10 adult crickets a day, occasional kingworms, no other problems.

Any ideas?

Very often people are given incomplete or just plain wrong care instructions.

It has probably happened to most of us here.
That's why the forum is a great resource.

You can cut and paste the questions from here https://www.chameleonforums.com/how-ask-help-66/
then add all of your answers and experienced forum members will let you know if anything should be changed for your cham's health's sake.

It's always better to catch a problem early before it can become life-threatening.
You can also post pics or links to your pics.
