Is female veiled ready to lay eggs?

Hey guys I just got my veiled 4 days ago and she's looking plump already and I'm not sure if she's ready to lay or not, I've read it can happen as early as 4 months and I've been told she's 6 months old. She ate fine the first 2 days she was with me and she hasn't eaten the past 2. Also I have been misting her with warm water frequently but I haven't seen her drink anything. I'm worried about dehydration. I'm a new chameleon owner and I've had many worries if I'm doing things right. I'm not sure if eggs are visible through the skin but it looks like there's bumps towards the back of her. Any help would be awesome. Thank you :)

Welcome to the forums. What a lovely little lady you have. I recommend a laying bin ASAP. If she needs to lay and not provided a proper laying then she will become egg bound and die. Here's a couple links for you about females egg laying and the laying bin. I hope you will find them helpful.

Yah I agree with jannb she looks gravid to me, or she has got a weight issue. Like she said it would be in her best interest if you get that laying ben set up quickly.

I think she may have been puffed up earlier. This is her when I caught her off guard. She likes to sleep in this area but she usually doesn't sleep till about 9. I thought she would be closer to the basking area but who knows haha

She still looks large enough to have eggs. I'd want a laying bin set up for her so she can use it if need be. She definitely looks old enough to develop eggs.
