I am.

I've never fed my chams wild caught insects here but the last few years I've gotten into fly fishing. We have some huge bugs that come out every year called "Stone flies" and "Salmon flies" I wonder if and Cham owners have fed their little monsters these.

Thanks

Aquatic invertebrates run the gamut from tiny midges to moth-like to dragon flies. The larval stages generally do not handle pollution well and are used as an indicator of stream health. My thinking is: "healthy hatches, healthy stream." I feed the adults that I collect from around a relatively pristine river. My chameleons eat them enthusiastically. I do think about the parasite issue with wild caught feeders, but for my chameleons things have been positive. (If you're collecting around the Metolius, then I would say that is one of the cleanest rivers in the country!)

There's no question in my mind about how clean the water is here!! Except the small streams and rivers near large cattle farms.

You guys get stone flies in idaho? Every yr when I'm out fishing it's a free for all in snake world on those stone flies so I figure this yr I'm going to feed some to my guys. . First my veiled..if he survives then the panthers jk lol!

Just don't overfeed any one particular species of feeder, wild caught or otherwise, and your animals will dig'em.:)
