is a "half shed" normal?

my chameleon usually sheds twice a month. week 2 he will shed just his body and his legs then week 4 everything from nose to tail. is this normal for him to do a half shed before his all over shed? (his body and legs shed alot)

It's normal for a veiled. Mine does it all the time.

My guy will do it in multiple stages. almost like each body part sheds at a different time.

The older they get the more they tend to partial shed. My adults will do a head, then legs a week later, then part of the body, and so on.

mine is like that although this time he is doing it still in stages but more at a time,he still has his legs and tail to go

My rudis sheds in patches, it often takes several days/weeks for certain parts of his shed to finally fall off.
