Hi anyone recommend a good temp gun . My local store has exo terra but thought laser one would be better. Thanks

I have one and it is great for measuring a surface temp but that will not give you your ambient. Honestly I am not sure why people use them I have not used mine in over a year. lol

Yea you have to pay attention to what you are measuring.
I would invest in good hydrometer/Thermometer

I use Govee they are good and WiFi.
They were $12 on prime day. $15 normal
Get 3 or 4 you can put them anywhere and view from your phone.
Currently have 7. Adding more

Is this what you have

You might want to look at IR Thermometers specialized for “human” temperature ranges. They will have better accuracy over a smaller, relevant temperature range. Like this, works for the temperatures you’ll need:

$30 on Amazon
Contactless Thermometer

As a side note, if you can avoid it, you don’t want one with a very large range, because they are less accurate. I settled for an “industrial” one, because everyone was panic buying the medical grade thermometers and I couldn’t find one for sale. Mine’s temperature range is over 900 degrees...so not 100% accurate in the “ambient” temperature zone (+/- 2 degrees F).

So I guess if my chan’s enclosure gets over 500 degrees F, I can measure that too. :ROFLMAO:
