Introductions! and pics

I've only been here a few months now and haven't really introduced my little one! Shame on me. I have a veiled female, she's somewhere between four and five months as far as I know, I've only had her three. Her name is Zergling!

Here she is when I first got her. I can't believe she was that small once!

This is her recently...sleeping...I know I'd fall if I slept like that.

And here are my other critters, James and Toby. They are African Sideneck Turtles and a great laugh at times.

James says "hi!" Poor Toby...

Spot the turtle! This is James' impression of a chameleon.

Anyways, that's the family for now! It's been great being a part of this community, you all are teaching me so much every day!

James is stinken CUTE!!:D

And so is Zergling! It is amazing how fast they grow, isn't it?

Indeed it is. I didn't realize how quickly they grew. I'm sad that I'll be missing most of her for a while soon, as I'll be going into the Navy and my fiance will take over her care. He's promised to send pictures of her growth though.

And yes, James is quite awesome. I love my turtles, both adopted from the Petsmart where I work. We had a fire about a year and a half back, and James was left inside the store unknowingly. I ended up adopting him after that. And Toby was shipped to the store with some pretty bad shell rot, so I adopted him and took him home and made him better. They are both such sweeties, and so funny to watch!

i have looked for my sister's sidenecks so I found the head pretty quick. Nice group of animals.

Do they let you have a Ipad in the navy? I am sure not until after basic but them you will be able to still be part of the forum and have him post the pictures on here.:)

Yes, after my basic training I can have a phone, laptop, ipad, or whatever while I am in my A school, though I'll only have mornings and evening to be on, but it's still better than nothing! After my A school whenever I'm not working is my own time to do what I wish, unless I'm on a ship, then I'll probably be doing a whole lot of nothing. ;D But I will still be able to be a part of this community, just not as often, unfortunately.

Zergling is a pretty little girl! They really do grow fast!

I have to say your turtles are too cute! James has such a sweet little face.

Thanks so much. She has been a delight to own and watch grow and thrive. ^_^ I love the African Sidenecks because they always look like they are smiling from the shape of their mouths. James and Toby certainly bring lots of smiles.

I always liked the name Zergling, tho I still reckon Stalker would be even better.......looks like the gang is doing real good, and if you have the internet then why not make your fiancee put vids up on youtube? You can use skype if you want a live feed of your scaly babies (that's actually my Mums term, not mine, 'cos so far she has no grandkids and likes to see how the scaly ones get on)
Anyway, if you feel like giving James a real chance of hiding he needs the right environment - get a few speckled pebbles and see how hard it is to spot him then :D
