Hello guys, I recently purchased my new juvenile veiled chameleon.
He is 4 to 5 months old and so far he is doing great... I've got him since this past monday and so far I'm really impressed with this lil' fella! There is only one question... but I'll get to that later.
Here are some pics:
Showing his full colors!!! I'm so exited about this lil' monster!
Now he is shedding pretty good... Today is the second day and is almost all done by now... I do have him in a glass enclosure due to the weather here in TX, its pretty hot and is difficult to keep moisture up... I do let the front doors open from time to time so air circulates. So far I've noticed nothing bad to be really concerned.
Now to the question, because I got him recently and I'am fairly new at this, because of shedding, do they stop eating as much as they usually do? I've read a lot in here about chameleons about his age that eat 10+ crixs a day, this guy eats about 4 to 5 a day... is this normal for him?
Thanks for reading and please do comment about my question,
