I just introduced an adult male panther to the same room where I have a 3 month old male panther. They are in separate cages of course, the adult in a 4 foot tall cage & the baby in a small 20 inch cage. The baby seems frightened & the adult seems to not concentrate on anything but positioning himself so he can stare down at the little guy. Has barely even eaten. Its been 2 days & I've had to put up a cardboard wall so they can't see each other. The little guy is happy & now comes out of the leaves he was hiding in , but the big guy doesn't seem too happy about it. I also have a small jacksons I was going to put in between the 2 cages. Has anybody else have experience keeping multiple chams in the same room. This is a first for me & I want to do it with the least amount of stress for my pets.....

I keep a bunch in the same room. My goal to that most of them never see each other. That doesn't always work so I settle for males not seeing other males or ANY of my females. Some of the females can see each other across the room. So far so good. I wrap three sides of my cages with fabric so the chameleons can only see out the front.

Yup i have 3 in a room and sometimes it can be hard to handle one chameleon without the other seeing it. its more important that the males dont see eachother rather then the females because females are less territorial and you could end up killing your younger chameleon without any physical contact from the older one. He will simply starve himself and die from the stress induced

I knew about keeping them in seperate cages for them to feel like they have their own space, but, I didn't know they shouldn't see each other. Maybe some cardboard barriers, just makes it ugly.....

My 6 month old veiled and my 3 month old panther are located next to eachother. I also put a cardboard barrier in between. It works fine.
