Intimidation?

Can we intimidate our chams by putting too many feeders in their enclosure at once?

I've noticed that when I throw in about 10-12 crix, Chazam might pick off one or two, and then wanders endlessly. I know he isn't satisfied with just the couple of crickets?? Throughout the day, when I can check on him, the numbers have diminished. I just wonder if he is intimidated at the beginning, feels the urge to hunt throughout the day, or...? Thoughts?

i have noticed my guys on occasion get overwhelmed by seeing a bunch of crickets at once and not know which one too shoot for and keep changing their mind, often ending up with none of them, and haveing to go hunt.

Yep! He eyeballs them and seems highly interested, but confused. I know that he's eating, because by the end of the day there are only a couple left, if any! And his poops are MASSIVE! :/

I think so. Iv noticed that when I put a couple of crickets in at a time he seeMs to eat more than if I just throw in a bunch at one time he seems almost over whelmed if I their a bunch in at once. Maybe its just me.

i think they just have a hard time picking out just one, i often hand feed the first one or two just for fun interaction, and guarenteed application of supplements, and then dump the others freerange in a few differant areas of the cage.

I think I'll try tossing in a couple at a time. I'd like to witness him eating...

That's also a good idea. I didn't think about the supplements sustaining throughout the day! Mistings, self-cleansing, etc... Sheesh!! :)
