Input Needed on a logo design.

So I've been working with this high end photographer that has done tons of photos for celebs, sports stars, Playboy YES PLAYBOY w00t! And I've been designing his logo for him. I've done about 25 different logos and he can't decide on which one to use so I told him I'll post a message here and see what you guys think.

Here are the final logos.

I like the one with the slightly angled name against the slightly angled square (for whatever my opinion may be worth on logos). The "MP" in the blue box and the white "M" against the red trapezoid put me vaguely in mind of some software logos I've seen, and don't really catch my eye.

I would def. use one with his full name in it. That way when people see it, they will know his name right off. I personally like the one with the blue arch as well. :)

Of all, I think the gray and blue boxes logo has potential. Only that the box work significantly against the Matt Povin lettering.
Switching the direction of the letter "P" back to normal is recommended to clarify that it is indeed a letter P for quick read.
Consider changing the value of the lettering so it creates more contrast for legibility as well.

Some of the other logos are too "safe" and albeit a bit boring.
Be careful of both the red "M" logos above the purple one.
one look too much like adobe software logo and the other, if i am not mistaken, is a Dickblick logo. You can get sued for copyright infringement.

Hope that helps.

Thanks everyone for your input. He will also be using the logo as a watermark on his images.

dodolah thanks for the input as far as copyright infringements are concerned I have nothing to worry about. When I applied for my LLC I had to go through a whole class about it. Many people think oh just cause it looks sorted like it it's a infringement when it's not. I have 10 years of designs under my belt and seen some issues but all have been settled. When a client comes to me with a design they give me their ideas and how they want it done. I can't remember every copyrighted logo to know but if a issue comes up it's taken care of.

My eyes were also drawn to the blue arched one (top right) first, closely followed by the one below it.

Thanks seems like the arched one is everyones favorite and I believe he likes that one the most also cause he has already been talking about how he could get rid of the arches and use just the wording for his watermark and the arches would be for the logo..

The curved arch caught my eyes first. Great coloring - bold letters!!!

Thanks for your input I actually have that same one with bolder lettering but he didn't like it.

The slanted one with the 4 red boxes behind it looks great for the line of work he's doing.

Thanks everyone he ended up going with the Red M one but we are going to make some color changes.
