When you use cricket boxs (for the eggs) is it best to put the crickets lid on

Do you mean on the on the containers in which you are incubating the eggs? I put lids on mine so that the peat moss the eggs are laid in doesn't dry out. Placing a lid on it however will create a problem with mold growth in as little as 24 hours. I simply open the container when/if it begins to mold over and turn or til the peat moss to disrupt the mold growth.

yea thts what i mean and thanks...is moss good to use on the incubating eggs cause im using vermiculite

Your vermiculite will work just fine, make sure it is just damp enough that if you squeeze it only a few drops of water will come out.
