Incubator idea?

Hey everyone, I have a fish tank that I cna use for an incubator.
And I know you have to insulate it with polystyrene so that temperatures do not escape.
But thats why I though of the idea of using a big cooler box that keeps things more or less at the right temp, but only for like a day so i could also put a aquarium heater in it (that is the right wattage for the container size) and it should keep its heat... I think.
I havent heard of anyone else using something similar thats why I think it isnt that much of a safe option to use as a incubator.

What are your thoughts on this?

Thanks

What species are you breeding?

Is your female gravid?

Sorry, i do not know much about incubators yet, i am going to breed my veiled in about 7-8 months when my female is ready, So, if you ind anything good lemme know... Ill keep checking this forum
:p

I am breeding Veileds.
And yes my female is 19 days gravid or I hope she is, she is getting quite fat but not lumpy with alot of bulges from eggs but she does have 1 bulge on each side above her back legs.
She weighed in at 86 in first week from mating, 96 in the second week and today I weighed her and she stands at 108-110.
Hope that means eggs:D
I will probably use the fishtank but I would like to know if a cooler box will work.

Let me know if you want me to explain how to build a fishtank incubator.
