Incubator advice

So I've bought a hovabator incubator because it literally freezes at my house but I havent used it yet. My veiled cam just laid her clutch yesterday. I'm pretty sure I should put the eggs in a separate tray of vermiculite then into the incubator. But should I keep the vermiculite moist or would it damage the incubator?

The incubator just keeps the temp regulated. You'll still have to keep it moist.

Nothing will get damaged though?
