Incubation question

I have a homemade incubation system setup with a sterlite tub and heat pad. The egg containers have lids on them with a few holes in the lids for air circulation. THe temp stays at 75 and humidity stays about 60-70. I just got an Exxo Terre incubator that looks like a mini frig. Do I need to keep the lid on the containers using this type of incubator? I live in Alabama and the temp is crazy during fall and winter so that's why I need this incubator to keep a solid temp/humidity. I bred my male Ozzy with Chloe, their pics are in my albums. She laid a beautiful 21 fertile clutch and I want everything to go as smooth as possible. Thanks, Matt :)

i would gladly love to give some insight as ive used the exo fridge for the clutch that is hatching right now. for my set up i had 1-2 holes drilled on the lids depending on the size of the container. i also had cups filled with luke warm water filling the un used space in the incubator.

as i've personally found out, extra digital thermometers is a must to monitor the inside temps, as the exo thermostat jacked and will not read what is correctly in the fridge.

Thank you

Thanks for the info. I got a pair of analog temp/humidity gauges I can stick in there to double check. Even the instructions said depending on the temp in the room the unit is in can defer from plus or minus 2-3 degrees. It said to mount an internal thermometer to check the correct temp. Appreciate the info!:D
