Inconsistant flex cages

I ordered (2) 38 gal Flexarium cages from LLL, to be used as sun cages.

I recieved the cages today and assembled them. After assembly, I looked at them side by side and noticed they are not the same size. One was almost 3/4" smaller in width and depth. It is not a real concern untill you put on the mesh shell. The mesh sags to the point that it is unusable. I am pretty disapointed that it slipped through QC like this, as I now need to get it swapped out through LLL.

On a lighter note LLL is very easy to deal with when it comes to issues that arise.

I have had special request when it came to items such as trees and supplies, and they have proven themselves time and time again. Kudos to Kate in the office, and the gang at LLL for providing top notch customer service! :)

Has anyone else had a similar situation with Apogee Flex cages?

I have had some issues with these cages.

Just as a note about using them outside in the sun. I know Steve uses them and he says you need to keep an eye on temps because of the plastic and it being black and the sun beating down on it... He says these cages run warm compared to the silver screen cages. I think the remedy is misting and or some shade... OR late afternoon or late morning basking.

As for LLL and customer service.. they are great! They let me test a couple of UVB lamps with my UVB meter before taking them home.

Thanks Kev,

I am already using them outdoors, and Steve is correct, they do heat up rather fast. I do have a MistKing set-up, with a MistKing timer, and temp guages for the outdoor cages too. I will hopefully be able to post some new photos on Wednesday.
