I'm Starting To Hate Crickets!

I wondered how long it'd be before I started hating crickets to the core  feeding Sebastian (Panther) yesterday afternoon and did a little hand feeding and rest in his cup and as I was showing Sebastian this big juicy cricket, it wriggled out of my fingers and went to pick it and the little sh*t decided to leap right at my face

I found it later dead after my dog killed it and decided it was his new toy

No wonder members here move onto silkworms and dubia roachers LMAO

just remmeber, dubias and crickets are the only staple foods for chams. everything else are treats as they dont have good enough nutrients for chams.

As far as reptiworms go, I dont think so. They are great for feeding, in fact, my guy gets a worm or a fly (when the worm changed into them) every day.
However, I havent read anywhere saying they should be fed as a staple.
i think thye can be a 'staple' in accordance with roaches and crix.

Ah, I see! I will make sure to have them all involved.

yup yup.
I love calci worms, and by love i mean i love to feed them off.
worms are creepy.
the only reason i keep ANY in my house is for kink to devour. I think once I get my lizard back with me (hes staying with my mother until i get moved into my apt next week) Im going to try to feed him a bee, with the stinger removed.

Locusts or even Calciworms will do as staples I think........more than one kind of food will work, much more important is to gutload well and get some variety in there too.........

Yeah, i've heard they're really healthy! Low in fat, high in calcium, etc.
lol, I bet he doesn't go for it.........they not stupid and know a warning when they see one........

Don't some peoples chams on here love bees? I thought I remember reading it somewhere... :p

I know my veiled right out refuses to eat any locusts lol haven't tried my panther with any. Offered the panther 1 superworm as a treat and refused that.

My panther has been resisting crickets lately. Today I tried to feed him a dubia and he refused to go for it also. He's strictly only going for superworms and phoenix worms now. I have no idea why the sudden hate for crickets...he was eating 10-12 a day prior to this. Now I'm lucky if he'll eat 3/4 of them.

Very unusual to find a Cham that won't eat mealworms or flies.......:)

Both of them just stares at the mealworm and walks away in disgust LMAO

Sebastian was hilarious tonight, giving the cricket keeper a clean and giving more gutload and turned around to see Sebastian (Panther) come down from his high perch to have a look at what was in the keeper LMAO and went back up, so cute
