Pictures would help people a lot. I'm not a pygmy keeper, but I believe it usually goes off tail size.

The little boys tend to be slimmer and have a longer tail. They also display a stripey pattern.
The females are generally a little rounder and the ridges on their backs are smoother.

Goto go advanced then go down under the reply box to the "Additional Options" area and click manage attachments. Then select your pic and click upload then once you submit your reply the pics should be there

the pics need to be focused a bit better on the chams! im not 100% sure but they both look like girls.

This is one of my males - Karl.

He is long and thin.
He has well defined display colours.
He has well defined points on his ridge on his back.
He is smaller than the females.

This is the female - Veronica
She is taller than Karl and "rounder"
She does not display well defined patterns or colours. She may show a faint line along her midline with the odd Dark spot in the line.
she has a smooth straight ridge on her back.

hope it helps.....I dont tend to go by the tail as my males are smaller than the females anyway.
