Hey everyone!
Im just about to make an order, before I purchase my chameleon =)
So...
I currently have this in my shopping cart from lllreptile:

Rep Cal Calcium with d3
Herptivite
Rep Cal Calcium WITHOUT D3
T Rex Chameleon Dust

and .. 6 pound Flukers cricket feed

What do you guys think?
Should I change, add, or remove something???

Oh! I almost forgot...
Im also having a Large Exo Terra Jungle Vine... are this good ones?

thanks a lot once more =D

Remove the chameleon dust and cricket feed.

Cricket crack is a much better option and I would switch the chameleon dust with minerall I.

I like the water proof jungle vines they don't go bad as fast as the ones that are not water proof. it's all personal choice!

alright!
isnt cricket crack the same as Fluker's Cricket Feed??
and the jungle vines are water proof =)

Whats the mineral brand you are talking about?

You could always go to you local feed store and buy chick start. and suplement with fresh fruits and vegi's. as this is what i do. also I give mine oatmeal

Thats not possible at all :S
I live in Mexico...
unfortunately theres no pet stores near... neither feed stores =/
I do have a P.O box in US, and I have all my orders shipped there..
Right now I do have the crickets, and I feed them with veggies and weeds...
But still, I would like to order some cricket food as an extra option...

You feed them weeds?

I personally much prefer the cricket crack, it's not the same thing.

Chicken feed is meh.

I avoid chicken feed because they pump that stuff full of chemical preservatives and hormones to make the chicks grow faster, put on weight quickly and lay more eggs. I don't know about you, but I don't want that stuff in my chameleons, female or not!

Cricket crack is definitely not the same as the Flukers food. The Flukers stuff is cheap and mostly just corn and filler. Cricket crack has all the good nutrients and vitamins that your chams need, which is why it costs more. Check this blog out for some of the materials to use for gutloading. You can make your own recipe if you know what to aim for since that may be more readily available than pet supplies. The link in my signature has nutritional info on commonly available fruits and veggies. Aim for those higher in calcium than phosphorus and avoid goitrogens and oxalates. Dandelions are the very best weeds you could use so target those if you're going to use weeds, and make sure any weeds are from pesticide-free areas. Both dry mix and wet mix (veggies) are important for a complete diet. Hope that helps! :)

weeds sounds strange...
Im actually talking about a mix of different greens...
I will look up for the cricket crack, lllreptile doesnt seems to have it...

hmm.. that gutloading dry mix looks good...
and all the ingredients seems to be easy for me to find..
I guess I will just go that way, If I cant get the cricket crack =)

OK... soo
here is my updated order list...
(I found out that pangeareptile.com has better deals and prices than lllreptile)

3 exo terra vines... much cheappier and 1 of them for free
8 oz zoo med reptivite
12 oz zoo med repti calcium without d3
8 oz zoo med repti calcium with d3
and a R-Zilla electronic terrarium thermometer-hygrometer

is this better now? x)
they dont seem to have the cricket crack either =/

You'll need to purchase the cricket crack separately. It is not a commercial item.

Here is a generic checklist of items you should have prior to purchasing a chameleon:
Please note it is for a baby veiled. Change items accordingly. I can't find the complete list at this time and need to get to bed. School tomorrow.
Here is my basic checklist for a baby veiled:

-a screen cage of appropriate size (baby:16x16x30, adult female 18x18x36, adult male 24x24x48) you can also buy the adult sized cage and just section off the bottom so it is smaller
-live plants that are non toxic and have covered organic fertilizer free soil
-a normal incandescent house bulb of appropriate wattage
-a dome to put the house bulb in
-a linear reptisun 5.0 and appropriate hood
-a digital thermometer or temp gun to check temperature
-a digital hygrometer to check humidity (you can buy a 2 in 1 thermometer/hygrometer)
-three supplements: calcium with d3, calcium without d3, and a multivitamin that contains no vit A (make sure all are phos free)
-a pump style spray bottle to spray chameleon
-a dripper of some sort
-drainage for the water so that the cage does not flood
-many horizontal, vertical, and diagonal branches/vines/perches make sure there are many at different levels under the basking branch so he can move around under them to get a certain temp, the closest one to the bulb (6-8 inches under it) should have the maximum temperature a baby veiled can handle (80-83 degrees)

All of this can be bought on lllreptile.com but it would be cheaper to buy the uvb hood, normal incandescent house bulb and dome, plants, and digital thermometer from home depot or lowes (unless you are getting a temp gun, then tempgun.com) Veiled chameleons can handle temps as low as 50 degrees (at night) so there is no need to use a night light, though I would try to keep it around 60 for a baby. If you do need extra heat, use a space heater or ceramic bulb.

yup
I have all of that already...
just missing the supplements...
wich will be coming in this next order
I just wanted to be sure about whats the best brand and everything
I even have my roach and cricket colonies going on already =)
