I hung the plastic bowl my meal worms came in to the wall. So far the only things that have escaped it, is crickets. Every time I have an empty one I change them out.

The op is talking about roaches or other feeders that can climb smooth surfaces like glass, these normal feed cups won't cut it.
Vaseline is messy, there's a product called roach barrier (ptfe grease) that's a little less messy but the grease still gets all over everything. What type of climbing feeders?
I've never tried it but they make super slick tapes that may or may not be slippery enough to prevent climbing of small insects.
If you try this report back and let us know if it works;)

Find Nick Barta (usually advertises in the food forum) on here. He sells a chamo feeder that I bought from him.

I was so skeptical about it that it took me 2 weeks to try it. It really works!
If you're using a cage, it has a super strong magnet to hold it up. I FR so I just prop it against a tree.

It has 1 very tall side with a grid that allows bugs/ worms to climb and makes them easy to see for the Cham.
