I have an ordered placed in for a 260 gallon flexarium, which was on sale for $69.00 I was just wondering about, what type of plants would be good in it (im gonna need a taller one) And.. Just any thoughts / Tips for flexariums..

I have read that some people do not like where the zipper is? i wasnt to sure what they meant.. :p i geuss the zippers in a awkward area...?

I have read the zipper jams..?

Anyone have the 260, and have a good drip catcher? Id love ideas for that..
(I was thinking of putting the cage 1 foot higher, on 'Stilts' And sliding a big tupperware container underneath the entire cage? Might work, :)

Tips please! :)

Thanks everyone,

To me drainage is the biggest issue with these cages. Elevating it above some container is a good idea, but know that the whole thing is screen and PVC, meaning it won't carry a whole lot of weight, and given its size you'll probably have some pretty big plants in there. You might try fitting a sheet of PVC on the bottom to spread the weight across the base and just put holes in it. Then put a small stand under that and at the bottom have a plastic bin. Usually the zipper problem is a result of stress on the screen, usually on the top or bottom (like from the weight sagging the bottom or a dripper on top stretching the top). If you can come up with a cheap, effective, and easy solution to the drainage, you should definitely post it, because a lot of people on here love how big and cheap the Reptariums can be, but that's one of the major issues that keep buyers away.

Okay I rushed through it to draw it but I kind of made it up as I went along. hehehehe.

Thats Very good! Plus, with that idea, i could cut the hole in the table small enough that i could maybe put some little boards in the flexarium, and on the table (Hard to understand) so that it can support a plant/pot, so it doesnt go through the mesh :p

Very good idea, that just fixed my problem, ;):D

Thank you.
