I want to start holding my cham

I want to start holding my cham but he is quite feisty and scared of people. He hides or freezes when I come near and it's been about 2 weeks of time for him to settle in. He hisses and try's to bite me which is understandable but I want to get him out of his little enclosure and eventually hold him. What's a good approach for this?

Get some of his favorite feeders (my chameleon loves bsfl and never turns them down) and hold them in the palm of your hand with your hand open. It'll probably take a few days of offering, but eventually he should shoot the feeders out of your hand, then eventually you will gain some trust. Only took me a few days before he would approach the front of the cage in anticipation. Hope this helps!

I'm new to this but I've heard from multiple people that if they are young to hold them every day. I've had mine for a month and every day I hold him for at max 30 minutes. So far hes gotten used to it, accepting anybody who wants to hold him. He prefers to climb on top of heads tho.

My cham is unpredictable, but mostly just doesn't like being held. He'll quickly go hide behind this wooden statue thing when I open the cage.

When he does feel up for it, he approaches the door waiting for me. I hold the bug in my fingertips and try to keep my body as far as possible. If he suddenly stops, it usually means he's getting suspicious so I slowly back off until he becomes interested again.

I also read around here that chams like neutral colors like tans and such. I don't know much about that, but maybe I should buy a brown jacket to wear when I want to handle the guy, or just neutral shirts.
