I want a Chameleon.

Hi guys, I'm fawn. I've been reading about them and have had a fascination with them for a while. Is there any tips you could give me on the set up? I don't have one yet because I want to make sure I know exactly what they need. Also, I know with every animal there are things you should know about them before you get them that might not be in the books. So anything like that would help me a lot. I see them all the time at the park and I'm in love they are beautiful and very peaceful, I've never touched one because I'm afraid of scaring or hurting them, they are wild. Anyway, I've had many animals and right now I have a pit and a cat. I'd love to add a Chameleon to our little family. Thank you for reading.

Wow, where do you live? I think I need to move! Lol

That's so nice thank you. And they are an invasive species here. A breeding plant shut down fifteen yearso ago and set them free. They're are different kinds veil and the larger one. South Florida. Lol

I live in South Florida also. I have never seen a Veild in the wild down here, but I know they do exist and are becoming more common. Those and Oustalets. I have seen Iguana's, Cuban Knight Anoles, Brown Anoles and the Curly tailed lizards in my backyard. Just an Iguana once, which was probably someone's that got loose. However, Iguanas are becoming invasive down here also. I see them all the time crossing the roads, at the golf course. I went to the store the other day and there was one right by the curb eating the vegetation. He was gigantic! We also have the "Jesus Lizards" that run on their hind legs. One ran out in front of my car one day and scared the crap out of me! I didn't know what it was until I researched what it was. They are weird little creatures!
