I...though that dragon ledges were made of aluminum...not wood...

huh? They are made of plastic... PVC material to be exact.

@Beman You’re right. With the texture and weight I was bamboozled. I came back later to drill another mounting point, and they’re definitely a lightweight, flexible plastic/PVC. The ledges are also much lighter than I was expecting.

They aren't metal?

That’s what I was expecting, too. Nope. Bamboozled again!

I was like "huh" my first set I got. I had no experience using a product made of pvc sheets. And since they flexed I could not figure out how they would work. lol But your going to be shocked with the weight they hold. Just make sure you have your vertical bracing branches attached.

PVC is brilliant. Wood would have been disappointing.
EXACTLY. That is exactly how I felt. I admit my first impression was disappointed because I wondered how they could possibly hold up to the environment (if they were wood)...you nailed it. Fortunately they’re not :)

Heh. “huh” is right. I’m still a little meh that they’re not metal. I really like the industrial feel, so I was looking forward to get some nice metal structures for my dude. Ah well. I’m willing to give them a shot.
Vertical bracing branches check.

Looking for that industrial design pallet, aye. I go for contemporary jungle in mine. :hilarious:
