So I didn't think there could be a real big difference in dry gut loads and honestly I haven't seen any problem with flukers but good god do I stand corrected... I got a dry gutload from a forum member Texas Ranger.. Sure he won't mind some free advertisement, but I put it in with my crix and 30 minutes later could not BELIEVE what I was seeing....

There is a very very big difference between gutloads! Especially concerning the nutrition your chameleon gets!
 
Well seeing the reaction my crickets gave it looks like I can be sure my chams WILL be getting the nutrition haha
 
I like to make my own gutload. I make a wet mix from various fruits and veggies. For around $10 and a blender, you can make enough to last a very long time.

haha same thing i did..i was like WOW!!..in my breeding set up, they go through a human sized salad and about four table spoons of dry, ONE DAY!! its all gone!!..i cant believe how fast about 2000 crix eat!..and the poooos, sooo much..its like termites, but the more greens you give them the more green stains they leave!lol

i believe i have the worlds best crickets..LOL

is there actually a way to test all the protiens and fats, minerals, ect ect a feeder has??

I assume it would be the same way we test human food haha or better yet... SQUISH EM lol... I did that to one of my dubias and it was like popping a waterbag of all the gut load items haha

+ a billion! lol! Nutrition is key my friends, and if you got it from Texasranger or stevesims I am sure it was an amazing mix! Tiki tiki also pumps out some nice mixes coming from steve too I believe? anyways, seeing your crickets going balls deep for that food, get rid of the flukers! lol :p
 
Wow, that is crazy! I got some dry gutload from Pssh and the same thing happens with my Dubia. :D I need some more! :eek: Lol!

Hey man thanks for coming by and checking things out. I told you those guys would go nutts for that mix:D It is super good for you cham. and it cuts down on the stink the crickets make:)
 
So what is in it? Is it a secret family recipe or something?! lol!

About 20 ingredients that we get at our local organic heath food store:) It somthing we have been making for about a year a few thing we put in it are kelp,alfalfa,pearled barley,raw sunflower seeds,spirulina, grains thats all I can think of right this seconed it a lote of stuff. ranger went on a hunger strike so we made this stuff and he hasent went on a cricket hunger strike since:)
