I need so basic I just am not sure who has the best correct information. I think I'm clear on plant vines, drainage and feeding, spraying 5 mimic two times a day, a dipper and I would like the misting machine sovmayb I could mist less?.

Hi there! you probably haven't seen a clear answer because it really depends on your situation which one will be best or if you need a combination. For example, when I lived in Texas the humidity of my house naturally was around 40-50% on most days and then with a few misting sessions by hand it would peak around 70% so that was perfect for me and I didn't need anything else.

Now that I live in Denver the natural humidity is closer to 20% so I needed a humidifier to keep it up. And now that I have quite a few cages instead of just one or two I don't have the time or patience for a lot of hand misting so I have an automated misting system that helps with humidity as well as hydration so I don't have to worry about them while I'm at work.

If you have a screen cage in a dryer climate you may need more than just hand misting. But if you have a cage that's not completely screen or live in a more humid climate you may not need something fancier than a misting bottle. Sometimes the best way is to start simple and see if you can achieve appropriate humidity and hydration, and if you cannot then you need to make modifications to your system depending on what you're trying to accomplish. If you're a busy person and can't be around your chams a lot then a more automated system might be better from the start. I have light timers and a mist king so I really only need to spend time feeding, cleaning, and staring at them. :) There's nothing wrong with starting off with the upgrades though!
