Chameleo has been doing this alot for the past month now.
At first I thought he was having a prolapse, but I realized he just liked my beautiful hair. Just kidding, but seriously, stop him before his palms grow hair. hahaha.
Anyways, it is normal, just apart of our boys being manly men. Have you been finding spermplugs on his branches? Mine has been wiping them EVERYWHERE, gross, but nice knowing he is growing healthily.

Thats very Interesting About the sperm plugs, Mine is approaching 5 months and I have yet to see anything like that happen. Can somebody please explain this behaviour (i understand hes approaching sexual maturity) and what else I can expect? (ive heard of males 'Humping' hands!)

No idea, I feel like I caught mine just as he was starting to go through chameleon puberty.
Pretty much grew a massive bulge the first week I got him. Started flashing his hemipenis and whiping spermplugs everywhere a few weeks later. This was at 4/5 months when I got him.
Some people say the attitude changes, but mine has been an agressive chameleon from day 1. So I can't really tell

Gizmo flashed me with his yesterday! The first thing I thought also was "Prolapse". Then he just pulled it back in and continued on his way. He too has been producing lots of sperm plugs. I'm sure that this is normal behavior for the males. It's only when they can't retract it that there should be cause for concern.

Every cham matures at his own rate of speed. Gizmo's 5th month came and went without a single sperm plug. Now he's about 9-10 months old and they are coming in like crazy. They look like two little "pimples" on each side of his vent when they first start to pass. There's a thread in here somewhere with pictures of some MONSTER plugs.

I can just see it now, I bring a nice lady who is not scared to eat dinner at my house, regardless that she knows I have a cute chameleon.
