I need help!!!

OK, I'm joining in the game after it's finished, but it was still fun to read. I don't know much about turtles/tortoises but what made you say that was a bumpy shell Thompson?
Smooth as anything was that. Proper smooth shell. Like a slider of some kind........

The shell wasnt totally smooth is what made me say it was bumpy. The pic doesn't really show that.

She is a gorgeous RES. I keep turtles and I never liked turtles as much as I did a nice RES. The reason her shell is blacker than the one in the picture is because it has a melanistic charcter to it. That is also why her skin is so dark too. Giver her a good bath and release her into the wild. c:

Also if you were ever to see bumpy shells on a turtle it is more than likely pyramiding in a turtle, they get this from too much protein in their diet. The flakiness is from shedding more than likely, but she is a gorgeous turtle, good thing you stopped and saved her. c:

Lol now I'm a little confused!!

You were originally asked 'Is the shell smooth or bumpy?'
The purpose of the question was to see if it was more turtle or tortoise......
You said the shell was bumpy. It was a smooth shelled turtle......
Therefore somewhere you misunderstood the original question - understand now? :)
I was just messing about afterwards, because it had been resolved anyway, but I guess I was a bit too subtle :)
