I have noticed that a trio fits nicely in either a 20 gallon long or 18x18x18 exoterra.
I have had 1.4 in a 20 long, but that was pushing it. Usually a trio is suggested for 20 gallons.
bottom layer of hydroton balls which can be purchased from home depot.
a layer of window screen.
a middle layer of aquarium charcoal, which can be purchased at almost any pet store.
another layer of window screen.
3 -4 inches of organic potting soil, I like to use Jungle brand soil which can be bought at home depot/lowes.
You will want to use a 2.0 uvb bulb or just an old 5.0, I cover half of the uvb bulb so its dim in the enclosure but there are spots where they can get uvb, and I have noticed them bask.
you will also want to use plants like pothos, trumpet vine, bouganvilia, and ferns, that do well in the low light conditions, and dont require lots of light. Just plant them directly intot the soil.
You've been able to find hydroton at Home Depot? Everyone says it's at many nurseries and garden centers but no one carries it around me.
That's what I've been doing, it's just very out of the way.
