yeah the little guy looks okay and glad the set up for the most part is fine

the supplements you need

"Rep-cal" without d3 (every other feeding or most feedings)

"Rep-cal" with d3 (2-3 x a month)

herptivite multivitamin (2-3 month)

this is a common use schedule for vieleds and beginners, and os fine

the lighting you definatley need

linear tube 5.0 reptisun

Petco hardly ever has them and refers to other products which is bad

might need to buy online

The guy at the petco said put saline solution in the chams eye.. Should I?
What is this thing about the shower and humidity? I heard you put your cham in the shower or something and he gets hydrated?
And do I feed calcium everyday? Do i need to skip a few days?
And how does this schedule sound for feeding..
On the 1st of each month feed calcium with D3
On the 2 feed calcium
on the 3 feed Multivitamin
Then on the third to last day feed D3, And on the last feed Vitamin.. Any other suggestions? Thanks so much! My cham will be alot happier now.

like others have said pet store advice probably isn't the greatest, if the chameleon is healthy (no eye issues) you do NOT need to be giving him eye drops, if your chameleon has eye issues you need to see a vet.

that schedule sounds kind of confusing to me, here's what I do for my panther and veileds require close to the same as far as supplements

monday-saturday (every week) Calcium with OUT D3
1st sunday Calcium WITH D3
2nd sunday multi vitamin (herptivite or reptivite etc.)
3rd sunday Calcium With D3
4th sunday multi vitamin

not sure about the calcium spray, everyone I've heard of uses powder. rep-cal is the one used most by forum members, though I've used (and heard of others on here using) Miner-all. with the calcuim with D3 some brands have more and some have less, thats why I just stick with rep-cal (as it's more of a know dosage so to speak)

I've heard bad things about zilla UVB bulbs which makes me wonder about the brand as a whole but maybe some one that has used it could chime in here.

-GUTLOADING - easiest thing to do is just to go to a pet store and look for a cubed one. flukers is great.

Terrible idea. The Fluker's cubes are an extremely inadequate source of proper nutrition. They are good for hydration and that's it. As Carol and others have said, good gutloading involves fresh fruits and veggies that are high in calcium and other nutrients. Collard greens, mustard greens, dandelions, and turnip greens should be the staple to your gutload, with things like butternut squash, sweet potato, mango and papaya included in smaller portions. Things to really avoid are broccoli, spinach, and dog/cat food.

Sounds like you are on the right track and really making an effort to keep your chameleon happy and healthy! You're going to be a great owner
