I have some qustions.

So my 1 year old veiled laid 10 unfertilized eggs and keeps trying to dig through the back of her home, so I put a styrophome bowl that's about 3 inches tall and about 6 inches wide filled with dirt in a corner, and she hasn't nested in it yet. what should i do? and if they do hatch what should i feed them?

First of all, you need a much bigger container for her to lay in. I needs to be 12 inches deep. Veileds will bury their eggs deep in the dirt. If she is unable to find a suitable place to lay her eggs, she may become egg bound and die.

Second, once the larger container is available, give her total privacy! If she sees you, she will not lay, and will become egg bound and die.

Finally, if she has not been with a male, the eggs will NOT be fertile. If there is a chance that the eggs are fertile, you need to put them in barely damp vermiculite in a container and placed in a dark closet or cabinet to incubate. Any eggs that are not fertile, will begin to mold pretty quickly. It will take 5-12 months for the eggs to hatch, so you will have lots of time to read on here about caring for the hatchlings and to get things set up for them.

Good luck, I hope she lays those eggs soon! If not, get her to a good reptile vet ASAP because, like I said before, she can become egg bound and die.

You need to get an appropriate container in here right away...and don't let her see you watching her while she's digging.

If she won't lay on her own after you've tried the suggestions above she may need an oxytocin shot to induce labor
